Policy and Priorities

THAT the agenda for the October 16, 2017 regular meeting of Policy and Priorities Committee be adopted as circulated.

THAT Policy & Priorities Committee receive the Public Works Report “Assumption – Kunda Park Subdivision Extension #3; and THAT Policy & Priorities Committee recommend to Council that the Town assume the municipal services in the Kunda Park Subdivision Extension #3 and open the street within the subdivision as a "public highway" by by-law in accordance with the subdivision agreement executed between the Town and Fonthill Downs.

THAT the Policy & Priorities Committee receive the Public Works Report, ‘1141 Maple - Model Railway Building – Lease and Capital Update’, for information.

THAT the main motion be amended to be postponed and

THAT Policy and Priorities Committee receives this Department of Community Planning and Development report for information as it pertains to the request to designate 1141 Maple Street (The Quaker Meeting House) under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act; and THAT it be postponed and

THAT the Policy and Priorities Committee receive the PCCOC Updated Terms of Reference; and THAT the Committee recommend the updated Terms of Reference to Council for approval.

THAT the main motion be amended to change "approve" to "include" in the final recommendation paragraph.

THAT the Policy & Priorities Committee receive the Public Works Report, “Hurricane Road and Memorial Drive: Traffic Calming and Controls Update” for information; and THAT the Committee recommends that Council approve an all-way stop at Memorial Drive and Cream Street to Council; and THAT the Committee recommends that Council approve a temporary all-way stop at Hurricane Road and Station Street for further investigation; and THAT the Committee recommends that Council include a 2018 capital of $40,000 to install speed cushions on Hurricane.

THAT this Regular Meeting of Policy and Priorities Committee be adjourned until the next special Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled for Monday, October 23, 2017.
